Tap purges 7 days without use

With this new functionality you will be able to automate the creation of purge tasks for taps in rooms that have been closed for more than 7 days, and in this way:

  • Avoid having to look every day in the PMS for the list of rooms to purge.
  • Avoid having to create purge tasks one by one manually.
  • Having access to automatic reports of the purges carried out.

1. Initial setup #

1.1. Configure task in Services

On the one hand, it is necessary to create the type of ‘Purges’ in Services, which will be created automatically when the condition of 7 days of unused room is fulfilled.

  • Open Services
  • Go to Settings / Tasks
  • Create the task within the desired category

1.2. Configure the automation in Room Status

Steps for this configuration:

  • Open Room Status
  • Ir a Settings / Available status
  • Choose the room status to be ‘Final cleaning’. In the example video, it is ‘Inspeccionada’ (if the room remains clean for 7 days in a row, it means it is unoccupied).
  • Click on ‘Modify’ the status.
    • At the bottom of the screen, under ‘Automatic change’ select ‘Apply’.
    • “Change cleaning status to” > Modify it to the desired status, so that the task is reflected. In the example, it is set to ‘Purga’.
    • Choose ‘Create a Services Task’.
    • Choose the task to be created.
    • Choose which user to inform when the task is done.
  • Click “OK”.

2. Carrying out purges #

The persons in charge of carrying out the purges will receive the corresponding notification from Service, in the same way as any other request.

When purging, you can write the temperature and chlorine values as a comment.

Once the purge is finished, the person chosen in the settings of step 1.2. will receive a notification (this way, you know when you have to go to the toilet, for example).

3. Reports #

By accessing ‘Services / Reports / General Status’ you can consult the lists and details of the purges carried out. In addition, when creating a report, you can choose to receive an email periodically with this report. For example, you can receive every Monday the report of the purges of the last 7 days.
